It was pretty hot this weekend. Well, hot for bay area weather, which isn’t saying much for someone like me who still clearly remembers Texas weather, but still hot enough to crave something cool!
And, though I could eat ice cream all day long, the weather reminded me of childhood summers and eating fruit salad on the front porch. This fruit salad isn’t the healthiest, but it’s easy, fresh, and super delicious.
What you’ll need:
- Fruits of your choice (I included strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon, and blueberries)
- Crushed Pecans
- Cool Whip
Steps: Mix it all together!
Yeah, it’s that simple…cut your fresh fruit (I used about 4 cups), put it in a bowl, throw in a cup of marshmallows (2 if you’re a marshmallow fanatic), a cup of pecans, and 2 cups of cool whip. Mix it, put it in fridge for an hour, then eat it!
This fruit salad is one of my favorite things to eat on a lazy, sunny day, especially because it only takes me 5 minutes to put together!
What are your favorite summer treats?
